THIS YEAR IS COMING TO THE END

Yes this season for growing is about to come to an end and i suspect that a lot of gardeners will be looking at what they have achieved and what they have not.I think i said in my last blogg that it has not bean a very good year at all for growing and that in its self can be heart breaking especially when they had big hopes for shows in 2012. Mind you some gardeners did have good results and i take my hat to them as they must have really worked hard to get good results. I  have spoken to a few gardeners and they have said that the problem they were getting was in the early part of the season when we were not having the heat that was required from the sun. owing to this they found that they had to use electric or gas fires in there green houses for young seedlings. All being well  in 2013  i will be using double insulation to make sure that i have better results than in 2012.  I have said that because of illness i did not have a good year in 2012 but i do not intend to dwell on that and that a good friend of mind is going to give help when i want it.(that is what friends are for).Just a well done to a few of the gardeners that i know, smithy veg, john martin, paul bastow, darren blick, dan, richard walton as matter of fact to all gardeners.

GETTING READY FOR THE WINTER

As the title says  i am now getting everything sorted out before we have the bad weather. I must say that because it has been a bad growing season this year i really do not have a lot to do. My green houses has been sorted out  and i will start to decide what i am going to grow for next year. Now that my health  is deteriorating i do have to think very carefully about what i can do so i think i will be acting on the info that i have gathered from all my gardening friends in which some cases seems much easier than what i have always done. As a lot would have read in one of my bloggs i have always gown a lot of carrots in pop bottles but i do have to admit it is now out of the question because of the bending and breathing. Any how i still have a few months to go before i make a finale decision. Update to follow.
